12 Things To Do Before I Pass On

Ever thought of what are the few things you want to do or achieve before you pass on?
Things like you can't do daily or not easily achievable. By pass on I mean die, but die doesn't seem like a nice word.

Things more like something you wish to achieve and experience before leaving the world.

I had the inspiration to write this when I thought about how much I always wanted to see a real Aurora at least once. Typing this post on a rainy afternoon with awesome music....'so ohhhmmmm! :P'

So lets start the list of mine!

1. Go on Mission trips/evangelism trips.

My church always has these mission trips to cambodia, vietnam and what not to share the gospel. It never struck me that I was called to go, but of course everyone should cause you should :P
I always wonder why God, of all fields, had to put me in Medicine. If any of you read the post about ambitions, you would know that Medicine is never on my list.
I mean, besides helping and treating people, there must be more to this I think. There must be something I can serve God with ?

If I am not mistaken, it struck me when I heard about missions again in one of the conferences I attended.
Being a doctor can much play a role in going mission trips not only to spread the word of God but to in a way show the love of God through helping the people there which have lack of medical facilities/staff.

Well saying that, I do know I am not ready yet. Although I 'THINK' I want to go, but I feel myself not ready. I am not ready to face the condition there. Thats why I am still in the state of reluctancy to go.
But I guess this is my resolution, that I will go there one day, hopefully I will.

:)

2. Travel around the world.

Cheesy, common, mainstream, whatever.
The last place I ever travelled outside of my country (except Singapore) is England, and that was 10 years ago.
I had very limited opportunity to travel due to multiple reasons.

I really, as like other people, really want to travel around the world and see the world myself.
Different pretty, beautiful and unique places that God created, I really want to see them!
Maybe perhaps once I am more stable in my job (crap, doctors have no time right? LOL)

Places I want to go? Anywhere. Sight seeing would be good. Shopping would be better. Overall everything is awesome haha.
Niagra falls, shopping havens in Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan.
Europe, the grand canyon, Paris, ice castle of mall of america and what not!

Niagara Falls

Paris!

Grand Canyon

Ice castle, Mall of America

3. Watch Aurora once at least once.

This in kind of in line with travelling. The first time I knew about the existence of aurora was during high school where we learn about it in Physics or something.
I was so fascinated by it, started googling all over about it.

The timing to actually observe the Aurora is so subjective. Well in a way I guess.
Its like it has specific timings, am not so sure when and where (perhaps I should do more research about this)
So how do I buy a ticket to some crazy faraway place like antartica or how do I know when will it appear, time, place, and what not.
I won't know if I would be available to go at that specific time either.

I'm just hoping that one day when I retired, or when I really DO have a lot of time, then I can spend my days to wait for it.
I honestly, earnestly, want to see one so badly!

Beautiful ain't it?

4. Visit NASA (LOL) or  go to some space centre.

I don't know how to explain this lol. I am always very fascinated with the all the universe stuff, planets, stars, quantum physics?
I have a telescope myself, and it was so cooooolll to look at all the planets myself through it.
Its nice reading about all of this, but perhaps a chance to visit a real space centre and talk to the people who works there and studies about these things would be really cool!

The universe its just so interesting! I know I sound like a geek heh.

5. Watch, touch, and feel snow.

Believe it or not, I have never watch snow falling down the sky before.
When I was in England it was during winter season but it didn't snow till 4 days after I left.
I saw snow (already on the ground, stopped falling form the sky) when I was in the train to London, passing by it.
So I have never felt or touch any snow before, and I really like a chance to!!
I was waiting so badly during my 3 weeks trip to England but unfortunately it had to come after I left =.=

6. Run a full marathon.

As most of you know, the only sport I can do and good at is running.
The furthest I ran was 10 km and not more.
This shall slowly increase to 16.8 km, 21 km and one day, 42 km, full marathon!
I don't mind the timing really, but its like a achievement to be able to finish full marathon.

7. Face my fears! Do something extreme.

Okay I exaggerated that. I saw my friend bungee jumping in New Zealand and I am like OMG I want to go there to find her cause I want to try too.
It must be really scary I think, HAHAHAH, shall just assume I am dying and I take the leap of faith!

8. Ride a horse!

Horse riding! I have never ride on a horse before. Probably I will keep falling down cause I wouldn't know how to establish the 'relationship' with the horse :p I could imagine myself being really scared. But I will keep trying !!!!  I think its something everyone must experience, cause its ....... cool.
I have no other word to describe it ....... heehhheee

9. Do a Research

My school always try to prompt us to do research. I never had the urge for it, though I think it would be good cause you know, it helps in my career and stuff. But I am so not up to it!!
I think of all the hassle to do the research work (because my assignments are to appraise research studies, I kind of get an idea of how researches are done) I feel so lazy about it.

Then today one of my tutors mentioned some kind of research about some medication, and it like just flick a fire in me.
That research was interesting to me. It made me feel like I want to do it too.
SOOO! I think perhapsss, I don't know how, I might one day be involve in one hopefully, when this fire in me starts to grow bigger :)

We shall just see about that.

10. Take a drive along the roads.

I don't mean any ordinary roads. Ever heard of the great ocean road in Australia? or Atlantic Ocean Road, Norway, Pacific Coast Highway, California and Ice Ring Road in Iceland?
The view is just amazing I think it would be really amazing to drive along it. Perhaps with someone special ? :)

The Pacific Coast Highway, California

Ring Road Iceland

Atlantic Ocean Road

Great Ocean Road Australia

11. Learn ONE piano song.

I've been talking bout this since forever, so this has become my 'list of something to do before I die'.
I love piano, I tried learning and playing. Perhaps cause I did not practice hard enough, I totally am not good at it and I can't play.

So much for saying I love it. I really love the sounds of piano since I was like what? 3?
I will find that determination to learn one song, and be good at it, and play that forever hahahahaha.

12. Join a society/club/NGO/association.

Well technically I think I might join something related to my church or related to God's work. If not then, find something that I am passionate at to join, be active, and play a role there.
To impact people and make a difference! CHEESY! ;)
I want to do this one day because well, spread the word of God :) thats how to make a difference in my terms.

Well thats about some of mine, I am not sure if I could do it all. I am hoping I could.
These are more like 'things to do' rather than like 'forgive people, let go of your past' that kind of stuff cause I feel like this applies to me more.

What are yours? Have you ever thought about the list of things you want to do before you leave this place? :)

All photos from google.

Food Diary : What I Ate Wednesday

Usually I am very eager to wake up for breakfast, I would brush my teeth and think of what I can eat! I don't like/too lazy to turn on the stove in the morning so I would just have something quick. You won't believe how lazy I am. I will show in the up coming food diaries I guess. Anyway, you know usually cereal boxes have their cereal and strawberries and milk ? My thoughts were, if strawberries were sour how would it go well with the cereal and milk. So I decided to try :

Breakfast (10:30am) : Kiwi and Cheerios in Skimmed milk. The sourness of the kiwi went really well with everything really. I did not expect that as an outcome for the taste. And yes, I eat kiwi along with the skin because you've heard kiwi has fibre and most insoluble fibre are from the skin. As I said, I'm lazy.. kudos for me ;p

Oh, I did not spill the milk on purpose for the photo
wtf wtf. I was on accident =___= really.

Lunch(12:30pm) : Hummus with roasted vegetables on a multi-grain bread with salad on the side. Super fresh salad as the carrots were making noises in every crunch. Whole sandwich tasted really asian, oh I had this sandwich at R.A.W. Parking is free if you are going to their cafe. Got a cup of Americano with this. Forgot where the beans are from, (should be from indonesia if not mistaken..) which made me went high on coffee =__= make sense if the acidity is quite high right?

Snack(4:30am) : Really am a sucker for bread, Lemon Cranberry Sour Dough Bread with Blackcurrant Jam. Then had two pack of crackers. I feel that I'm hungry always.

Dinner(7:00pm) : Went to the grocers earlier the week so I tried to make Chicken Breast cover with Toasted Oats on a Salad in Olive Oil dressing. Realize I wouldn't like since its so bland, so I did not salt any ingredient and added mustard to my salad. Sigh, my brother had to help me finish it later I was so full half way through it.

Colorful aight?

Tuesday's Doings.

I'm having this love-hate thing with coffee. Today was such a dilemma where I wouldn't do it differently. I woke up late today though of course it affected no one just I love waking up early even if I have nothing to do. My day feels longer this way. There were things on my to do list which is super long though I did only the first and my day is almost ending and it is a productive day.

The other day I was talking to Chloe and she told me that productivity isn't about how much things you cramp in a day but you can consider about striking off the big goals off your list. One or two likely, productivity is about choosing the right kind of goal and making the best out of it.

I don't think anyone would guess what I did today, I called my mum with so much excitedness and said "Mum! I am going to become a barista!" LOL. Hehe. Sooooo.! I have a 'slash' now. You know how (seldom people here in Malaysia have these or at least people around me) people would work part time while being a student. For example :

I am a waiter / writer
I am a blogger / student okay that doesn't count.
So I'm an interior designer / barista ! I wouldn't trade my barista for anything right now lol!
What's you slash? ;p

There is a reason behind this, it was because I know my weakness and as my career will lead to servicing clients and mostly aunties, I would have to suck in the temper more as I am short temper. Dealing with contractor and people who can't make decisions are quite hectic. Of course I understand there will be certain obstacles that causes all these, no one wants it that's why I have to cope with my own temper. Maybe through this I can smile my way out of the craziness.

Job is what you choose, everyone know the saying of "find your job you love and you never have to work another day" I decided to choose my environment, the co workers, the location this time. I sat there observing for 3 hours just looking at how they work and what they are doing.

There was this guy who came up to the counter waited 5 minutes to get in touch with the waitress and asked for the serviette, its 1.30pm and the waitress couldn't hear him and said "we've run out of it". The guy at the counter stood there and look confused. I pointed in the direction there the tissues were placed and the guy thanked me and said "hey thanks! You should be working here"

My turn to be confused and thought "what a funny thing so say, because I intended to"
Choosing your career path is important, but always remember choose what you wanna do.

The "Yeah, buts.." and "What ifs.. " can set aside, just do what you love to do.
Don't see money as the heavier priority in this because it is so much fun learning and getting the best out of it is what will matter. Thats when you are truly living.
Reading what I just type is just corny, but when you realize the same maybe its the same simple words you would describe it as well.

I had a lot other coffee shop on the list that I would skip because I like the place so later that day I head over to meet up with someone who I love talking to. Someone who speak with much content in every word. I guess today is about do what you want to do if you feel that it will benefit you because it is all about finding yourself. Yes, everything is mapped out in life(at least thats what I believe) and whatever decisions you make now will be useful in future. Even if you stone now it will be the reason you work harder in future!

Read: Tuesdays with Morrie

Today is not any leisure day, but I am just trying to blog while waiting for another appointment at night. A few days back when I supposed to study for my exam, I couldn't take my hands off the book "Tuesdays with Morrie" which is written by Mitch Albom (a student of Morrie Schwartz) about the lessons lectured by Morrie while facing death. Morrie is a sociology professor lecturing at Brandeis University. After 16 years since Mitch graduated, Morrie was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, a terminal neurological disease.  One night while watching TV, Mitch discovered about his old professor's condition when Morrie got interviewed by Ted Koppel on Nightline. He then decided to fly over to visit his professor on a weekly basis and these visits always fall on a Tuesday, just like the old days in University when they discussed over Uni projects on a Tuesday. So, they claimed themselves as the Tuesdays people. Hence the book is entitled "Tuesdays with Morrie". :D

About the same time last year, I was reading "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch who wrote the book while he was having pancreatic cancer. I thought "Tuesday with Morrie" would be quite alike but NO! I can assure you that both are good reads.

Below are my favorite lines from "Tuesday with Morrie", this may give you an insight of it. :)

1. Accept what you are able to do and what you are not able to do. Accept the past as past, without denying it or discarding it. Learn to forgive yourself and to forgive others. Do not assume that it is too late to get involved.

2. Have you found someone to share your heart with? Are you at peace with yourself? Are you trying to be as human as you can be?

3. Dying is only one thing to be sad over. Living unhappily is something else.

4. The culture we have does not make people feel good about themselves. And you have to be strong enough to say if the culture doesn't work, don't buy it.

5. So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they're busy doing things they think are important. This is because they're chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.

6. Everybody knows they are going to die but nobody believes it. If we did, we would do things differently. There is a better approach; to know you are going to die, and to be prepared for it at any time. That way you can actually be more involved in your life while you are living. How? Do what the Buddhists do. Every day, have a little bird on your shoulder that asks, 'Is today the day? Am I ready? Am I doing all I need to do? Am I being the person I want to be?'

7. Once you learn how to die, you learn how to live.

8. You know what really gives you satisfaction? Offering others what you have to give. I don't mean money, I mean your time, your concern, your storytelling. This is how you start to get respect, by offering something that you have. Devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to the community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.

9. Do the kind of things that come from the heart. When you do, you won't be dissatisfied, you won't be envious, you won't be longing for somebody else's things. On the contrary, you will be overwhelmed with what comes back.

10. As long as we can love each other, and remember the feeling of love we had, we can die without ever really going away. All the love you created is still there. All the memories are still there. You live on - in the hearts of everyone you have touched and nurtured while you were here. Death ends a life, not a relationship.

11.

I had seen so many selfish faces, including myself so I know how ugly it is. Recently I am very caught up in my life with myself, just myself. I would say that I was being very selfish to the extent that I just want to do my own things and have things in my way. I fought with my loved ones, trying to gain understanding from them but, I realized that I was being so wrapped up with myself that I wasn't willing to give in. As I am blogging now, everything is resolved.  I used to see productivity as squeezing in as many things as possible into my to do list, which is similar to what Morrie said as busy doing things that I think are important

I think reading is quite a nice way to reflect on your life. From this book, Morrie taught me how to be more selfless. I love how he sees things open-heatedly. Ultimately, I learn how to love again. :)

Love wins. Love always wins.

Pacific Coffee Company @C180 Cheras

I was never a fan of Starbucks or Coffee bean as these were the more popular coffee companies I can still count the number of times I've bought coffee from these places as well. Maybe because of the media is constantly trying to bring down starbucks especially saying how high in calories their drinks are and you can't say its not true because some of their drinks really weigh a meal.

Another factor was I live in some jungle and the nearest coffee place to me is.. McDonalds Starbucks where I still have to take pay my parking ticket. What I heard was the nearest great coffee is in Taman Desa, I've asked the 'experts' haha. Though recently C180 Cheras Perdana has just opened a Pacific Coffee Company franchise. Premium coffee house from Hong Kong, a place for decent coffee without having to pay or find a parking.

So that morning I was stressing over work as usual but I have hours to chill before I need to start my work again. Pacific Coffee was great and near. The space is spacious and their seating is divided into 3 areas and all 3 areas are equipped with reading materials within reach. Plus I really like how the place is lighted up and bright instead of an dim interior. As far as having a spacious place is good, I don't see how they are going to workout when they have larger group of customers as you have to do pick-up, and their pick-up counter is same as their cashier counter/ordering counter. emm. Not my say in this, but we'll see.

Their reading materials there can let you read for two days. lol. Though some of the staffs here are still new, doesn't really have the initiative to clean up my plates (I don't whether are they suppose to but I presume they have to).Still they are still friendly where they are smiling while serving everyone.

Herringbone Tile as their 'trademarking' tile in most their branches.
I appreciated the use of this since its so niceee.

Coffee here are great, because it has variety of milk to choose and of course they changes their brew(monthly). I don't really like milk and especially low fat milk, fresh milk or cream milk. I only take soy milk or skimmed milk. Also its healthier and if you are lactose intolerant you can also opt for soy milk. They also serve flavored milk, that also means adding syrup to your beverage. Eg. Peppermint Mocha Latte :D

Okay I didn't asked what flavour they have but you can ask! Peppermint mocha could be like 'After-Eight' chocolate x) thats what I could relate to. Oh speaking of chocolate, I smelt their as my friend drank the chocolate Paradise, super warm! Would be comfortable if its raining out and having that warm chocolate as a comfort drink.

Bring your bucket.

Along typing this post I was thinking I would usually order americano, while erica would get lattes and Chloe(with her fancy of milo) usually opt for mocha or chocolate. Its like adding more ingredients to the cup as the package gets smaller. :/

We do share our commons for the likes of teas, Pacific Coffee has their own gourmet teas in front of their counter to choose from. PCC also serve organic coffee plus they are Fair Trade Certified. It means that they farm their beans at a quantity at the rules given by the Fair Trade Organization. Pro-me #winks. Organic coffee are just the growing condition just like any other organic food out there. It seems that it also has a more intense, pure and aromatic taste/smell to it due to their environment of growth... yes =__= I paid +Rm1 for it...

My breakfast that lasted till lunch since I sat there for 3+ hours lol.
Yes. My organic coffee ;/ Crema Scura Americano with my Tuna Croissant serve with Side sald in Toasted Sesame oil.

Food I explored in JB!

Helloooo! I have been rushing assignments and presentations for the past week or so. Been super duper busy!! Again finally found time to blog on the weekend.

For this post, I am going to talk about the few food places I explored in Johor Bahru.

As most of you know, I am from KL. I am living in Johor Bahru for my clinical studies.
I have never been to Johor like all my life before last year. I only came last year to look for accomodation here.

So I was very clueless with the place here and I have no idea what kind of place Johor is.
What more about the food right?
Since I have to live here for the next 2.5 to 3 years, I decided I should explore the food around here so that I have more choices when I am too lazy to cook at home.

Most of the places are found by recommendation by friends, accidental finding or maybe through some blogs online. JB people! Please don't say that you know better places and you think that is too mainstream haha :P of course you do, I'm only here for a little while so this is what I have found so far.

Asam Laksa

This is a random truck selling what they claim 'Penang Laksa and Cendol'.
Its just a small truck in between shops. Found this out also on some blogs online and decided to try.
Since usually JB laksa are those curry laksa, I was craving for Asam Laksa, the sour ones.

For just RM4, this bowl is packed with flavours! Of course it is not as nice as the Penang one, I wouldn't say its extremely awesome but I think for RM4 this is quite worth it! It satisfied my cravings for Asam Laksa!

No name food truck ( Truck no: JEA 9218)
Address: Back lane off Jalan Pahlawan 1, Taman Ungku Tun Aminah, Johor Bahru
11am to 6pm

Nasi Lemak

20130713_193712

Next up! This is also in Ungku Tun Aminah. I have at least 3 food stuff of this place to blog here!
Came across this Nasi Lemak stall on a blog.
We usually never go all the way to ungku aminah, because its so far from the place I stay!
Well not exactly far but on usual days with classes and all we wouldn't drive all the way there to eat.
I went there for the pasar malam, then saw this food court place and found the Nasi Lemak stall the blog was talking about.

There was quite many people queueing up for it when I reach there.
They had 3 choices for rice, that is pandan, briyani and normal nasi lemak.
They were famous for the rendang, but I took the curry sauce that they had there as well.
There was no more pandan rice so I took the briyani rice.

After sitting down and taking a spoon of my rice with some curry sauce on it, I went, OMG!
It taste so awesome! One of the best nasi lemak I tried. It has a different feel from the village park nasi lemak (KL people you would know). But what I would comment is that, is quite good for just a random stall in a food court! :)

32 Melaka Nasi Lemak
Stall inside Restoran 777 Food Centre, Jalan Perkasa 4, Taman Ungku Tun Aminah, Johor Bahru
6pm to midnight.

Seafood Tomato Soup Noodle

20130824_111104

Finally the last one from the same place, Seafood Tomato Soup Noodle!
Well its not exactly seafood noodle but tomato soup with pack loads of seafood!
The price is very reasonable for the amount of seafood and I think its not bad for lunch.
The place there is quite chilling with perhaps I would call it, authentic design ?

Restoran Savage 山番王叻沙
Address: 138, Jalan Pahlawan 2, Taman Ungku Tun Aminah, Skudai
8am to 9pm

Paper Baked Herbal Chicken

20130823_201735

Now comes to the herbal chicken I had yesterday night for dinner.
Been hearing a lot of my friends talking about this place but haven't got the chance to try.
For me if you like herbal food or soups you might like this.
I think I have tried something better than this, but I think the herbal chicken is not bad.
Its not like wow super awesome but its good for dinner :)

Restaurant Teck Sing Sdn. Bhd.
No. 3 & 5, Jalan Sutera 1, Taman Sentosa,Johor Bahru, Johor, 80150

Fried Fish Dry Noodle

20130821_125616

Usually I always go around Pelangi area for lunch cause its nearer. There are quite a number of food places there I would say!
There are some shops even I myself haven't tried yet.
Tried this shop call big bowl. Always seen a lot of people eating in that shop so one day decided that I should give it a try.
Errrr well I didn't actually ordered this noodle, but Paul did.
But I tried his and I think its good!
The noodles are handmade, if I am not mistake is spinach handmade noodles (the menu is in Chinese, couldn't read :/)
He ordered it dry, and I am very surprise that it taste good! I quite like it!

Big Bowl Sdn Bhd
Jalan Maju, Taman Maju Jaya
(sorry not very sure of the address)

Asam Fish Head

20130802_130352

Had this with my group the either day. Came across this place when I was having lunch at another shop of the same row. Again I saw quite a number of people eating, and saw that they people eating there looks like fish head.
Instead of being curry fish head they sell asam fish head. OOOOHHHH I LIKE!
I like asam more over curry :P
Overall, I haven't ate a lot of fish head before, but I think this is not bad.

Not very sure of the shop name but its beside restaurant Shanji.
Jalan Lumba Kuda , 80300 Johor Bahru

Nasi Padang Beef Rendang

20130801_125744

Last but not least, I think most JB people would know about this place.
Kin Hua Nasi Padang.
Apparently I heard the original shop shifted and this isn't the original one.
Nevertheless I still think the beef rendang there is nice!
Usually not many places can cook beef the right way, cooked but not hard.
This place had it done very well sometimes, Its well done and still tender and soft to eat!
Brought Yi Ru and Chloe here before and they say its nice too :)

Restoran Kia Hua
Jalan Tan Hiok Nee, Johor Bahru Johor Bahru

Italian Food! Scallop pasta and Wagyu Beef

20130728_220405_Richtone(HDR) 20130728_221040_Richtone(HDR)

OHHH before I forget! Enough of chinese food and local food.
Here is this Italian restaurant recommended by Xin Yi.
Paul brought me there for my birthday dinner. I chose the most expensive food they have there, well almost hahahahahhhaha.
Even so, I still love Paul's pasta more!
I think my beef could have been better, but I have to admit the pasta was awesome!

Rosemarino Italian Restaurant
65 Jalan Kuning 2, Taman Pelangi, 80400 Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia

Wantan Mee

Oh, I have to mention, I quite like this wantan mee place call Ho Seng Kee.
Its one of the best wantan mee I ever ate, for real!

Ho Seng Kee
87 Jalan harimau | taman century, Johor Bahru

Anyways this is not a review, so there is no comments on bad food.
I only chose the food which I think its nice to post :P
I mean they are not like SOOOO extremely awesome but its good food for daily eat when you want to find some place to eat out. :)
There are more to this of course, but I shall just blog about these for now :)

*sorry I don't know some of the places' shop names and address. You can try googling it yourself :)

Confession Night

Confession is about a fault or a crime, or to admit as true. Sometimes confession is also showing what our belief was or the faith in something. I'm sure you understand what confession is though a misconception with a lot of people I see. Confession doesn't necessary be about love or feelings for someone.
Absolve.
Pledging a guilt isn't easy also confessions are presumed for absolution or social acceptance from the judgements even for their own physical and mental health. Sometimes when we listen to the things that the confessor say will actually make us think twice about the aspect of their personality and human behaviour. This can sometimes be a part of something we don't want to mess with if we want someone in our life longer. (so serious weyy)

We are going to tell you our confession in this post. Keeping secrets is so difficult and stressful, confession can be a remedy of 'letting go'. Speak the never spoken! But we'll remain it anonymous keeping it fun. We can't let EVERYTHING out. Keeping a little to ourselves you can guess yourselves. hehehe.

Confession 1

It is about my relationship with my Dad. My Dad and I hardly speak to each other since I am born. Throughout my childhood, all that I could remember is getting scolded and yelled at for little trivial things that I did wrong. It could be as trivial as not understanding what he said or moving a bit too slow into the car. So, I had always tried really hard to impress my Dad. When I go to primary school, I studied hard, get good scores in the hope to get praised by my Dad but all he told me was that I am not good enough. It was pretty heartbreaking though. As I grow up, I made attempts to talk to him but it came to no avail. It will always end up in an awkward silence. Back then, I kept wondering why is it so hard. At one point, I just gave up. A few years back, something struck me and I started writing letters to him from time to time, our relationship actually gets better. I would like to end this confession with some love.

I love you Dad. :D

Confession 2

Sub-confession to this confession I am still shy saying this out, but when I was 13 or 14 I still know nothing much about sex like everyone assume I would. Err haha. You might think it’s normal not knowing by that age(or not). I had a very absurd teacher for living social. He has these dirty jokes that I laugh to and he assume I understand ;/. He was cracking jokes about the term 'play safe' with condoms and what he did was he held his index finger and said condoms slot in *sliding his hands along his index finger. Then I angelically asked him “Why are condoms slot in there when you want to have sex??”

Lol that’s wasn’t it. That time I’ve never seen how condoms look like, all I know was its rubber. What my living social teacher describe it was a tube(I thought like hose). So, so I thought … if you wanna have a baby you have to put on condom and plug into the girl’s vagina so the sperms can be ‘transferred’ over.(like hosing water into the vagina) That’s why girls and guys have to take out pants/skirts instead your tops are optional to take out.

Then there was one time when I was 14 there is a guy of my age he told me he slept with this girl and the girl slept on the same bed as him. I immediately ask him “Then you got take out your pants anot?!” Haha what happen next was I grew up lah! What you guys are reading now I have not tell ANYONE ever.

When we discussed about this post one of them ask me "..want to put pictures anot." lol!

Confession 3

If you ever had the thought that I am a good girl, think again. (OK, I AM NOT THAT BAD OKAYY heh)
When I was in high school I use to be very...rebellious in a way. I had very limited freedom since my parents didn't really let me go out with my friends alone without parents till I was 16. It wasn't until I was 19 only they start letting me go out anytime without asking for permission from them.

So I was always dying to go out with my friends, and dying to bring my boyfriend, my 'ex' now to my house also.
Since my parents always thinks I am too young for relationship means, I can't bring them home.

So!!! Okay lets start with the going out part. There was once when I was 13, I really wanted to go to Timesquare to meet someone I like. A friend of mine was with me that time. But my parents wouldn't let me cause its far or something like that. So instead I asked them if I could go Leisure Mall in Cheras which was nearer.
After dropping us there. Then! Our journey starts lolololol. We crossed a REALLY HUGE highway which was filled with really fast cars just so that we could get to the bus stop opposite of the road.
Imagine 13 year old tiny girls trying to cross big roads. There were other people crossing as well so we just crossed when they did. How daring!

So that was our first time sitting bus alone to Timesquare alone. After spending the day there we took a bus back as well! Thinking back it surprises me of my daringness.

As for the bringing my ex to my house, he came to my house when there was no one home.
And the drama begins, my parents came home when he was still in my house!!!
We were like thinking how to get him out from my house. He was literally thinking to jump out of my window.
To cut the long story short, basically when my mum was sleeping and my dad was showering, I told my dad I was going to take some stuff in the car.
So I quickly opened the door for him LOL. He got out and went home hahahaha.

GM Diet -Review and Experience

From my previous post you would have an overview of how the diet would be like. Yeah 8 bananas. lol! I did not let this diet obstruct my daily work and about. I did record down how I was feeling each day though I only weigh in on my first day and on my last day. Also because I wasn't using a digital scale to record it hence it would be stupid to tear my eyes out to look at the analog scale.

It was totally spontaneous starting this diet as I was thinking whether to fast(I did this during July) or do this cleanse and I was over working that time till I had very little time to sleep, but heck it after work I just went to the grocers to pick up whatever I needed. I couldn't wait to start this cleanse also as it seems so interesting.

Day 1 (Thursday) - Only Fruits

Weighed in during my morning, took my body measurements.
Mood - abit off as maybe cause I binged from working late last night.

What I Ate :
Apples
Pears
Kiwi
Cantaloupe(I think I had almost half of the cantaloupe)
Water (2800ml)

This is my fast food.

It was fine bringing fruits to work and also easy throughout the day. I kept going to the toilet haha. I went home and slept early as I slept late previously.

Day 2 (Friday) - All Vegetables

Did not weigh in
Mood - I was abit scare as I had a client meeting at 7

What I Ate :
1 Medium Baked Sweet Potato (for energy!)
Raw Cabbages
Carrots
Cherry Tomatoes
Broccoli
Water (2800ml)

These are the veges for the Wonder Soup actually. What I should have taken for day 2!

I had to preserve my potato haha so I ate half in the morning and pair it with other vegetables in the afternoon as well. I should have prep better for this day like cooking the wonder soup I was so hungry! At night I had a client meeting I wanted to go home as soon as possible because I had gastric so I did not want to starve myself. Thank God I didn't had to attend that meeting after all.

Day 3 (Saturday) - Fruits and Vegetables

Weighed in - Did not lose any weight
Mood - Excited and woke up early

What I Ate :
Baked zucchini and carrot fries
Kiwi
Cherry Tomatoes
Blueberries
Apricots (I think)
Water (Forgot ;D)
Coffee (Single Origins - No Sugar, No Milk, No Creamer, Nothing)

Was a good day!
Met some of the most awesome people! I was really proud of myself that day as well.
You see, at the end of the event Linora had a fun competition where we have to out-plank each other.
Me and Evelyn(one of the nicest people I've met) was the last two girls standing(planking)! Out planking lots of guys in the room ;D!
I woke up early as Linora hosted a "Breakfast like Linora Low" it was so much fun! Though I almost forgot to eat I just grabbed a kiwi and went to the event. It was for milo breakfast movement thing and we were suppose to workout with Linora! Everyone who attended seems to know her and already in good shape lol!
They had refreshments for lunch I sigh in relief as it was all healthy choices. So i took my fruits.

45mins of Body Combat.

What was hard about the day was I had a birthday dinner to go to at night. Eating out in public people would go like 'why are you on diet' i really had to order salad that night. With minimum dressing. So, no.. You can't order a caesar salad.

Day 4 (Sunday) - Banana!!! and skimmed milk.

Did not weigh in
Mood : I was so excited!

What I ate :
8 bananas. :D
4 glass of skimmed milk
3 bowls of wonder soup

Haha! This is what natural ice cream looks like(Could have look better -_-)

As soon as I got up i ate two bananas and a cup of milk. I thought why not i eat the bananas differently. Hence! I made banana ice cream - 1 ingredient recipe :/ perfect for me.

All you got to do is chop the bananas into coins and freeze them! It would be better if you have a food mixer but i just use fork lol. Then I pop them back into the freezer and scoop them out after! Rocket science.
Anyways i knew i wont be full with only bananas so I made the wonder soup. I took 3 bowls that day. BTW
I went to the toilet alot on this day. About 4 times I think.

Day 5 (Monday) - BEEF and tomatoes

Did not weigh in
Mood : Ashley came back from Australia so I'm looking forward for dinner

What I ate :
Beef Kebabs 200g
Stir Fry Beef 200g
Grass Fed Striploin 200g
Cherry Tomatoes and some vege
Water (2800ml)

Dinner at Las Vacas for good beef steaks! I am a bread sucker, but I resisted that garlic bread!

Actually this day should be pair with 6 tomatoes, but i forgot :D haha. I just took beef. It wasn't a problem as I start to love beef. I didn't even want to have chicken as an option since beef has more nutrients and iron that the ladies need. Though I think you should eat the tomatoes because of the water content that you will be getting as beef is high in protein you might be dehydrated. Your stools will be harder ;x

Day 6 (Tuesday) - Beef and Vege
Did not weigh in
Mood : Starting to get tired of beef.

What I Ate :
Steak
Cherry Tomatoes
Wonder Soup
Water (2800ml + 3mugs of water /din measure)

Kebabs, pre-grill
I was the chef of this amazing steak
At this point I really tired of beef I just want this diet to end LOL. I was craving crazy for my breads. I'm a sucker for bread, I was thinking sourdough bread, foccacia, german muesli bread... Although on day 6 you can have unlimited beef, I skipped some as I didn't really feel like eating it anymore.

Exercise
Plank 1min
High Knees 1min
Mountain Climber 30sec
Crunches 25
Tricep Dips 20
Bridges 1 song
Two sets

Day 7 (Wednesday) - Brown Rice, Vege and Fruits
Did not weigh in
Mood : Looking forward to rice!

What I Ate :
Half a papaya :D
Oriental Fried Brown Rice
Apple
Beetroot Brown Rice
Beetroot Juice lol
Cabbage Mixed Vege Roll
A Cup of Ginger Tea
Water (2800ml)

This awkward looking presentation of Fried Rice by BMS Organic. Portion wasn't enough for me.
This is really nice. I like how moist it is instead of having a gulp of oil behind my throat.
Grabbed from their Facebook. What Chloe had that night. Fits in my cleanse.

I wasn't in particular craving for brown rice I just thinking about bread. I did not buy brown rice as I felt that it will be expensive and no one in my family eats it. So I went to BMS Organic restaurant, they serve organic meals so I figured I can find some brown rice there. Its really good the food there and don't have the perception that if its healthy it taste bland. Thats the shallowest thing to think because you haven't tried it.
I called up Chloe for dinner as she wanted to try some organic shop at Mahkota Cheras as well. We went to Green Talk where I had Beetroot rice. I really like it! I might cook it myself next time

Day 8 (Thursday) - Clear!
I lost 4lbs thats around 2kg
Mood : Was content also I got to eat bread (though had to wait till night)

What I Ate :
Tortilla Wrapped with Scrambled Egg
Tortilla w/ spinach and avocado
Cranberry Sourdough Bread
Wrapped this and went to work. I'm always late so this was a quick breakfast to make.
I didn't even turn on the stove, as I microwaved my eggs lol!

I wish I could have check my fat percentage, I would be thoroughly happy for sure.
My measurements maintained though I was having less bloat(yes I bloat) and my stress stomach was better than usual. Seems that my thigh measurements went down an inch as well. Later that night I went for a haircut haha.

Some reviews they don't tell you what to do on day 8, although they say you can eat normally but doesn't mean you can down 8 roti canai with a plate of nasi lemak ayam goreng with two telur mata kerbau and a cup of teh o ais. I find this cleanse much recommended compare to the previous one I did before at a center where I had to fast. Sometimes when you fast, its more troublesome because then you have to recover from a fast. This GM Diet cleanse you are recovering as you cleanse as you can eat rice on day 7 which is really good.

Tips on this cleanse is :

- Stay determine because its just 7 days.
- Drink lots of water. Daily intake of water is at least 8 cups. Thats your minimum actually.
- Get the right food and don't comfort yourself or cheat!
- You can say 'No' and eating salad doesn't make you lame.
- Stop if you are feeling really not comfortable or take a rest.
- I resist weighing myself everyday because I know I wouldn't drop alot of lbs. That day when I weigh in and realize I did not lose any weight I was sort of down so I would rather weigh myself on my starting point of date and when it ends.
- [Important] Eat your breakfast! and have snack time!

I had fun during this diet and I would definitely do it again after 6months or so. If you are considering this diet and have any questions you can always ask me or email me :)
